2010-2012

The Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival has become one of the most popular events in the region for so many reasons. Of course, Morristown has a wonderful town center with a beautiful Green, but is also offers plenty to do when the music stops. But the music is the main attraction and the talent has been topnotch.

Grover Kemble has entertained New Jersey audiences for years with his unique musical style and renowned wit.

The wonderful jazz pianist Jerry Vezza closed the book on the initial Festival in 2011 with a set that had the crowd buzzing.

Linda Smith and Don Jay Smith have produced the Festival since its inception in 2011.

Guitar virtuoso Robben Ford headlined the 2012 Festival.

Lou Pallo

Les Paul’s longtime guitar partner Lou Pallo made a surprise appearance with the Rusty Paul Band.

Rusty Paul

Rusty Paul, the son of the legendary Les Paul, proved that he learned well from his father.

Laura Hull

Jazz vocalist Laura Hull opened the 2012 Festival with her all woman band, the Jazz Chicks.

Mayor Dougherty

Mayor Tim Dougherty and his wife Mary enjoy the fruits of their labors. The Festival was the Mayor’s initiative.

Nicki Parrott

Bassist Nicki Parrott worked for many years with the great Les Paul.

Carrie Jackson with The Jazz Lobsters

Newark’s own Carrie Jackson wowed the crowd with her performance with the Jazz Lobsters Big Band.
